Scarborough Athletic Raise £1,400 For Breast Cancer Care

Scarborough Athletic FC's recent "pink" day - whereby they donned a pink playing strip for a NCEL Premier game against Brighouse Town FC - raised over £1400 for the Breast Cancer Care charity.

Well done to all at Scarborough Athletic, the fans who contributed and our opponents Brighouse Town who also chipped in.

Full details of how the funds were raised are here: http://www.scarboroughathletic.com/article.php?article=Mzg0OA==

Scarborough Athletic v Pickering Town – Big North Yorkshire Derby!!

I say North Yorkshire derby, some might see it as a big Scarborough derby!

Tomorrow afternoon (3pm) Queensgate stages a Northern Counties East League Premier Division matchup between the Seadogs and the Pikes.

It would be an interesting fixture at any time but there is added resonance to this one as the Pikes are managed by former Scarborough Town manager Mitch Cook and many of his players also turned out for that, now dormant (I think), outfit.

There is sure to be an above average crowd for this game so come on down and witness what will surely be a real blood and thunder clash with lots of local pride at stake.

I have a sneak preview of the matchday programme front cover (as always an informative and colourful read) Click on the image to enlarge.
