Scarborough Athletic Reserves to return to the coast

Boro reserves move to Filey

Since the reserve team was formed in 2008 they have played home games at Hutton Cranswick.

From the 2010/11 season the reserves will play just down the road in Filey.

This is good news as it has been hard to connect with the reserves whilst they were playing such a distance from Scarborough. Filey is also in the Borough of Scarborough so, at long last, we will have a presence back home.

I hope as many Seadogs as possible make the effort to see the reserves in action when not following the first team away.

I will try and get some photographs of this new Filey Sports Complex on the blog.

Back2Boro - Working to bring Scarborough Athletic FC home

Back2Boro

We are Scarborough Athletic FC.

We are the most senior club representing the town.

We are managed and run by Scarborough people.

We play our football in front of Scarborough people.

We achieved promotion in only our second season of existence.

We are a beacon of success – nationally - for clubs run by supporters themselves...

But since the tragic demise of Scarborough Football Club; since the closure of its Seamer Road Stadium; since Scarborough Athletic rose from the ashes in June 2007, we have played our football in exile.

We cherish the dream of coming home.
