The Big Freeze Continues For Scarborough Athletic FC

Since Tuesday 23rd November 2010 Scarborough Athletic FC have managed to partake in just 90 minutes worth of Association Football!

That solitary bit of December action came on the 14th and resulted in a 0-3 FA Vase reverse at home to Spennymoor Town meaning that the Wembley Way was blocked off to Seadogs until next season at least.

Since the cold snap arrived Scarborough Athletic have suffered no less than 10 postponements with games against Thackley, Selby, Maltby, Nostell, Winterton, Arnold, Tadcaster, Lincoln MR, Tadcaster (again) and most recently Bridlington all running afoul of Jack Frost's icy grip with his wintery attendants the snow & burst water pipes.

With the "halfway" stage of the 2010/2011 season rapidly approaching The Seadogs have completed a meagre 13 NCEL league matches.

It is not just Boro that are suffering of course and the NCEL league fixture compiler must be ripping his hair out as he runs out of calendar!

Here is the front cover of one of those postponed games, v Tadcaster which should have gone ahead on Saturday 18th December but succumbed to the Arctic
