They were only formed in 2007 but the Seadogs have issued a fair collection of enamel badges:

Scarborough Athletic FC - Quarter Of The Season Gone (Almost)...Progress Report.
At half-time on Saturday 29th October during the home fixture against Hall Road Rangers, Scarborough Athletic FC's 2011-12 NCEL Premier campaign will have reached it's quarter-way stage.
Time then to take stock of the Seadogs season thus far.
League Form: WWLLWWWWW
Win %: 77.78
Draw%: 0.00
Loss%: 22.22
Average Points Per Game: 2.33
The two blips came at Brighouse & at home to Long Eaton, otherwise pretty faultless stuff, Boro currently sit 3rd in the table, two points behind the leaders (Bridlington Town) but with two games in hand. Of course games in hand mean nowt unless you get points from them.
It could be argued, by the pessimist, that the majority of the wins have been against teams in the bottom half of the table & the proof of the pudding will lie in getting results against the sides who are also vying for top-spot.
That may be true, but the high standard of play shown recently suggests that the Seadogs are capable of doing just that.
Of our promotion rivals, Staveley MW have had the best start with 20 points from 8 games, the vast majority of which have been at home. Be interesting to see how they fare with an extended run of away games.
So it is fair to say that the Seadogs have made a very good start and have shown the potential to be promotion contenders for the duration of what looks like becoming a very exciting season, The squad is deep and there is always class sat on the bench, and of course Dean Windass has just re-signed with the club (although his appearances will be constrained by his media work commitments).
In the FA Cup, record progress was made as the club reached the 1st Qualification Round before crashing out 3-0 at Tadcaster (whom Boro had beaten in the League just a few weeks prior). Before that progress had been made at the expense of Hallam (Extra-Preliminary Round) & Barton Town OB (Preliminary Round) (after a replay).
Scarborough Athletic are still in the FA Vase after a comfortable win over Worsborough Bridge in the 2nd Qualification Round and Parkgate FC await a Seadog visit in the 1st Round proper (This Saturday, 22nd October).
I will draw a veil over our short-lived participation in the domestic NCEL League Cup, when Boro came a cropper away at NCEL1 Bottesford Town. Clearly not a priority!

Scarborough Athletic FC Finally Break Opening Day Hoodoo
Well it took until the fifth attempt, but Scarborough Athletic FC finally won an opening day fixture.
A 4 - 2 win at home to Parkgate last Saturday was enough to lift a particularly irksome monkey off the Seadogs back.
Boro were 1-2 down at half-time and it looked as if normal opening day service was still in operation but a different Boro came out in the 2nd half to really put Parkgate to the sword.
Scott Phillips scored Boro's first goal and Tony Hackworth (x2) and Joel Hartley added the rest.

The 2011/12 Season Starts Tomorrow For Scarborough Athletic FC
The start of the NCEL Premier 2011/12 season is upon us and tomorrow (Saturday 6th August) will see Scarborough Athletic FC opening their league campaign at Bridlington with a home game against Sheffield's Parkgate FC.
Parkgate were last seasons runners-up behind champs Farsley AFC so the "first-footers" could scarce be a tougher proposition.
The close season has seen Boro manager Rudy Funk amass a squad of proven NCEL (and above) quality and the Seadogs are making no secret of their hopes and ambitions for the forthcoming months ahead, they are going for promotion, no ifs or buts.
It all promises to be scintillating stuff, Seadog Blog cannot wait. He also hopes that Seadogs far and wide will come to the party and cheer the lads on.
The match poster is below.

2011-12 Pre-Season Friendlies Start For Scarborough Athletic FC
The preparations for Scarborough Athletic FC's 2011-12 Northern Counties East Football League Premier Division campaign commenced yesterday when the Seadogs took on local side Eastfield St James in the first of many pre-season friendlies.
The game was played on the slightly smaller than full size pitch of Yorkshire Coast College and resulted in a comfortable 0-4 victory for the Seadogs.
New faces got the goals, Chris Hewitt with the opener, a brace by Ant Lynam (including a scorcher of a free kick that fair flew in) and the last goal from Luke Foster. The woodwork was examined on at least four other occasions.
It was a roasting hot day and a very healthy crowd of 310 turned out to get their first glimpse of a team that we all hope will enjoy great success in the forthcoming season.

Possible New Home For Scarborough Athletic FC - Cause For Both Hope & Concern
The proposed development of a new sports village (to include a new football stadium for Scarborough Athletic FC) in the Weaponess district of Scarborough is, of course, something that all Seadogs will warmly welcome, our club have been in exile now since 2007 and we all yearn for a return back to our home town.
Whilst the prospect of Scarborough Athletic FC coming back home does put a spring in the step, there are some aspects of our hoped-for new home that give cause for serious concern.
The main worry is the mooted size and grading of the possible new stadium.
It has been given as a Grade C ground with a capacity of just 2,000 with the ability to increase to 3,000. A Grade C ground is adequate for leagues up to and including Step 3 (which would be the Evo-Stick Premier in our geographical case) but no higher - and therein lies my angst; It will put a cap on the dream.
Rational fans of all clubs have dreams about their club rising up the footballing pyramid to play at the highest level they possibly can. You should never demand success but you should always be able to dream of it.
Take that dream away and something intangible (but vital) disappears.
How less thrilling the victory when you know it will not open new doors, new experiences, new heights - but just keep you towards the top of where you already are (and , if the ground limitation dictates it, always will be)
We are the sons and daughters of Scarborough FC. We now have a new club - Owned and run by our fans. Our new club means so much to us, we are extremely proud. For a town the size of Scarborough and the football traditions we brought with us from the old club, a Grade C ground will only be okay for starters. It is CRITICAL, crucial, important, imperative, key, fundamental, essential, necessary, indispensable and urgent that the design specifications for the new ground give the ability for upgrading to Grades B and ultimately Grade A.
I implore all concerned with ground planning to incorporate this ability. I cannot emphasise enough just how important it is to keep that dream of progression alive, no matter how far off that dream may be just now.
I beg for this, on bended knee.
There are other concerns, the 3G pitch mentioned is just the job for a community based stadium but the FA will not allow home FA Cup ties to be played on it nor will the Conference have it in their Step 1 or 2 leagues. I guess it could be replaced
by natural turf if it came to it.
The 3G pitch is a secondary worry just now. The ability to upgrade the stadium itself is the big one. The important one.
If the ground can grow with the club then we are in clover, but if the ground is a stumbling block to future progression up the footballing pyramid it will then become both home and curse......... and the end of the dream.

Scarborough FC OB XI 5-3 Hull City FC OB XI (Brian France Benefit Game)
A splendid day at sunny (but blustery) Queensgate saw a Scarborough FC Old Boys team beat a Hull City FC Old Boys team by 5 goals to 3. The match was a benefit for Scarborough Athletic FC's first ever manager, Brian France, who sustained a very serious injury early on in the season.
Mike Coulson, Dean Windass (O.G.) Ryan Blott, Ged Dalton & Chris Senior were on the Seadog scoresheet, Two of the Tigers goals were notched up by Dean Windass (scoring at the right end on those two occasions!) Not sure who got their third goal but it was a clever lob over makeshift sub keeper Steve French.
The game was enjoyed by an enthusiastic crowd of 414 which was on a level with the average gate for NCEL League games last season. A good turn out indeed and Seadog Blog hopes a princely sum was raised for Brian.
Below are the front cover of the souvenir programme and the team-sheet for the day.

End Of The 2010/2011 Season For Scarborough Athletic FC
Scarborough Athletic FC's fraught 2010/11 season campaign finally came to an end yesterday with a 0-0 draw away at Winterton Rangers.
This result means that the club will finish in either 10th or 11th spot in the NCEL Premier - the Seadogs will have to wait until Monday to see how Long Eaton Utd fare against Pickering Town to know the finish position for sure.
Obviously a mid-table spot was not what Boro fans were hoping for at seasons start & now we all look to new gaffer Rudy Funk to strengthen the squad in preparation for a new season and hopefully a sustained, consistent promotion charge is on the horizon.
We shall not know the makeup of the NCEL Premier next season until the AGM's but it could well be that a reformed Ilkeston Town could be involved - This season a reformed Farsley team kept many of their former Conference North squad and ran away with the title.
Ah well, let us see what the close season brings, the season still has one final reserve game to be played and there will also be the Brian France testimonial match coming up.

End Of The Home Games For Scarborough Athletic FC 2010/11
Scarborough Athletic FC's 2010/11 NCEL home campaign finished yesterday with a 1-2 reverse to Maltby Main FC.
As has been the case recently Boro fielded a team of regulars and youngsters but even so they created enough to have won the game comfortably. Maltby's goals came via the penalty spot & a daft OG. Boro got one back late on courtesy of young Mike Barker.
The attendance was 406 making the crowd average for the season 415. This is very commendable given that the season had petered out into a mid-table affair quite early on & the high amount of midweek fixtures played.
There are still two away fixtures to complete, on Thursday 28th it is off to Hall Road Rangers and the season is wrapped up next Saturday over the Humber Bridge at Winterton Rangers.
There is also a benefit game for former manager Brian France coming up in May (more details on this later).
The reserves still have two more games to complete in their Humber Premier League Division One campaign and they are also set for a mid-table finish.
The U19's are also still in action, playing a few friendlies before entering a competitive league next season.
Finally, I will leave you with the latest "Back2Boro" poster which is popping up in shops & public places around Scarborough & district.

Busy Week For Scarborough Athletic FC
Phew what a week. the games have come thick & fast for Scarborough Athletic.
Since my last update Boro have played thrice, drawing 2 and losing once (aet).
In chronological order, last Saturday Boro drew 0-0 at home to Long Eaton although they created enough chances to win by four clear goals. Cruellest of all was the game on Tuesday which was the NCEL League Cup Semi-Final at Winterton Rangers. The Seadogs led 2-1 with just 4 minutes of normal time left, Winterton equalised to take it to Extra Time in which they knocked in the decisive third goal to knock Boro out of a cup at the semi- final stage for the 2nd time this season (Farsley having done that to Boro in the NCEL Presidents Cup). The quick-fire trio of games was completed last night when high-flyers Parkgate were held 1-1 by the spirited Seadogs.
In other news it was announced that the Council had finally voted to demolish the derelict McCain (as was) Stadium. Two stands (east & west) have been purchased by Rugby League team Featherstone Rovers (who will also undertake the demolition of the ground as part of the bargain).
This is another step on the road "Back2Boro" and Seadog Blog looks forward to further Council announcements on the new Weaponess sports village (including football stadium) soon.
Speaking of Back2Boro, they have produced rather a nice enamel badge (shown below)
There is no let-up in the fixtures and Scarborough Athletic are on the road yet again tomorrow when they take on Maltby Main FC (who we have not yet played yet this season- they will also be the opponents for the last home game of the season on Saturday 23rd April.

Scarborough Athletic FC's Funky Army Move Into NCEL League Cup Semi-finals
Scarborough Athletic became the first team to book a NCEL League Cup Semi-Final berth in a tense game last night.
After normal time ended 0-0, The Seadogs overcame Hall Road Rangers 1-0 courtesy of a James Webb winner which was notched at the beginning of the 2nd period of the extra-time and sent both crowd & management ballistic.
This is by far and away Boro's best run in this competition & it also gave new manager Rudy Funk his first win in the hot-seat. He looked suitably pleased at the final whistle.
The season remains very much alive!
The draw for the Semi-Finals will take place tomorrow morning. Of the other Quarter-Finalists, four do battle tonight (Handsworth v Staveley and Winterton v Pickering) and next Tuesday Liversedge will take on Farsley.

Big Defeat For Scarborough Athletic....But They Are Still Funkadelic
New Scarborough Athletic FC boss Rudy Funk saw his new charges for the first time yesterday & will be under no illusions about the rebuilding task that awaits him.
The Seadogs crashed 5-0 away at local rivals Pickering Town in the Northern Counties East Premier.
It was a strange looking Boro line-up, mainly due to suspensions and last-minute transfers out but, whilst few would argue Pikes didn't deserve their win, the ad-hoc Boro team played with a great spirit and were desperately unlucky not to have notched at least two goals. The ref was a "homer" and a half & The Pikes were the beneficiaries of more than one dodgy decision which led to goals.
The Scarborough Athletic fans turned out in numbers and "four-folded" Pickering's normal Saturday attendance and they gave great support throughout the game. Many of them sported Rudy Funk moustaches! Seadog Blog is proud of 'em - they are one of the reasons Scarborough Athletic will continue to grow and prosper in the coming years.
The unofficial Scarborough Athletic fans forum Surfing Seadog can often be a volatile site to visit after a Boro defeat as disappointed fans are prone to venting their spleens in no uncertain manner, but last night (apart from a couple of poisonous little trolls) it was an oasis of calm reasoning by the majority as they look to a bright & funky future.
Actually the trolls provided (although they didn't mean to) a little bit of light relief to the proceedings. I don't think you have to be Sherlock Holmes to deduce their background & Seadog Blog actually thinks he knows who at least two of these trolls could be but will keep his thoughts on that to himself.
Whatever these little worms post it will not change a thing, they are utterly impotent in their small mindedness and Seadog Blog knows the Funky Army will continue to march on and on, Back2Boro and up the footballing pyramid.
I will never, EVER lend my support to the trolls club. Never. Under no circumstances.
With that off his chest, Seadog Blog looks forward to Tuesday night when Scarborough Athletic host the lads from Dunswell - Hall Road Rangers FC - in the 4th round of the NCEL League Cup. This competition is now the Seadogs last remaining chance of silver & hopefully we can rise to the occasion and progress through to the semi-final stages.

Funky Times Ahead For Scarborough Athletic FC
Yesterday's worst-kept NCEL secret was finally revealed yesterday tea-time when it was announced that the successor to Paul Olsson as Scarborough Athletic FC manager would be none other than Rudy Funk, late of Shirebrook Town & Rainworth Miners Welfare.
Rudy Funk Unveiled As Scarborough Athletic FC Manager
And
Funk Leaves Shirebrook To Join Scarborough Athletic
Rudy is no stranger to The Seadogs and his Rainworth Miners Welfare team knocked us out of the NCEL Wilkingson Sword Trophy (0-1 aet) in only Boro's third ever competitive fixture. The two clubs were both promoted together in 2008/09 (Scarborough Athletic as Champs, Rainworth MW as runners up) and the following season Rainworth finished runners-up to Bridlington Town and took the promotion spot that Brid didn't want.
Mr Funk did very well with The 'Wrens' gaining three promotions in all with them. More recently he has helped steady a very wobbly Shirebrook Town and put them back on an even keel.
Seadog Blog warmly welcomes Rudy Funk to the Yorkshire Coast and wishes him yet another successful stint in the NCEL.

Manager Paul Olsson Departs Scarborough Athletic FC
Seadog Blog learns today that Boro Manager Paul Olsson has left Scarborough Athletic FC by mutual consent.
Olsson Leaves Boro By Mutual Consent
Paul took over the managerial reigns earlier in the season (21st September) after previous incumbent Brian France had to step down having suffered a bad injury.
Since he took on the task the club struggled somewhat to achieve the consistency that all Seadogs craved for.
To be fair to Paul though his tenure was far from a disaster, he left the club with a creditable 18 wins along with 5 draws and 13 losses - a 50% win record - the club memorably won six on the trot in February. He also oversaw the latter stages of a good FA Vase run (which included a 1st Round knock-out of landlords Bridlington Town) and a run in the NCEL League Cup (which is still in progression).
He was also refreshingly ready to give promising youngsters from the Reserves a chance to don a first-team shirt.
Recent home form shown by Boro has been a big disappointment though and two lacklustre 0-1 reverses at Queensgate to mid-table opponents (Long Eaton Utd & Armthorpe Welfare) really heaped the pressure on Paul and he was given two games to get things back on track - an ultimatum that Seadog Blog thought should have been kept "in-house" rather than made public - but there you go.
In the first of these games the club really responded for him and produced a fine 3-2 win away at high-flying Tadcaster Albion and so we all looked forward to Saturday's local derby at Pickering Town to see if the lads could give another battling performance for "Olly"....but the announcement this morning meant that it was not to be.
And so Seadog Blog would like to give hearty thanks to Paul Olsson and wish him fair winds for the future.
Of course this now begs the question who next for the managerial hotseat?
The NCEL it would appear is a hard place to keep a secret, and one name in particular has come to the fore.........but more of that later, once confirmed.

Disappointing Cup Exit For Scarborough Athletic
Farsley AFC 5-0 Scarborough Athletic was the grim scoreline from West Yorkshire this evening as the Seadogs crashed out of the Northern Counties East Presidents Cup at the semi-final stage.
Thankfully it is not a two-legged affair.
It is the 2nd time this month Boro have suffered a 5-0 record defeat.
Only one avenue remains open now to lift silverwear & that is in the NCEL League Cup where we will host Hall Road Rangers in the quarter finals.
The rest of the league campaign is all about trying to finish as high as we can.
This season has been so inconsistent........ But I will keep the faith.

Brighouse Town 1-2 Scarborough Athletic - Away Day Joy For Seadogs
Today was another day of joyous celebration for supporters of Scarborough Athletic FC as the club registered a 1-2 success away at Brighouse Town (thus taking revenge for a 2-3 home reverse inflicted on them by the West Riding team earlier on in the season on the "pink" day).
Brighouse took the lead early in the first half but two quick fire ripostes from goal-machine Ryan Blott soon followed to give Boro a lead which they were able to hold on throughout the 2nd half and on to the final whistle.
This sets the Seadogs up nicely for a quick return west on Tuesday evening when they take on Farsley AFC in the semi-final of the Northern Counties East League Presidents Cup.
Can the Seadogs make it through to the first of two possible cup finals?
Seadog Blog hopes so.

Scarborough Athletic 3-0 Bottesford Town: A Welcome Win In A Pea-Souper
By heck it was a result we cried out for. All 157 of us (a record low turnout for a competitive fixture - we need to do better than this oh ye Seadogs).
To see this game to it's fullest extent you had to be stood on the half-way line. If stood behind a goal or on one side of the pitch then you were fiddled out of 50% of your match viewing.
Anyhoo, it was the third round of the Northern Counties East League Cup and recently beleaguered Scarborough Athletic took on lower level opponents in the shape of Bottesford Town (equally beleaguered in the NCEL1 as they had just been stuffed 8-0 by champions-elect Stavely MW)
As it happened the Seadogs got up and running in the 3rd minute when Rich Medcalf cleverly lobbed the keeper when through. To their credit Bottesford came back and hit the crossbar & also asked awkward questions of keeper Woodhead (who was up to answering) and a rookie Seadog backline (who contrived to answer - successfully). In the meantime Boro could (and should) have notched another three or four goals for themselves.
The 2nd half started out as the Ryan Blott show and before you knew it he
had notched two further goals (as only Blotty knows how) to make it 3-0 and tie over. Bottesford barely had a sniff thereafter. It was good to see a highly competent display both in midfield and upfront along with the added bonus of a clean sheet and the chance for some youngsters to get a first-team blooding. A big morale booster for all concerned Seadog Blog reckons.
So it is into Round 4 that Scarborough Athletic progress and they await the winners of the Hall Road Rangers v Long Eaton Utd tie played later on tonight (16th March).

Three Losses And No Goals For Scarborough Athletic
Oh dear, the last three games played by Scarborough Athletic has seen three defeats, 7 goals conceded, 0 goals scores & null points.
I don't think we have ever lost three games on the trot before and I know we have never gone more than two games without finding the net. Until today when we succumbed 0-1 at home to a very physical Long Eaton United.
Just 8 days ago we were basking in the joy of six wins on the bounce. February was a month of wins but March seems to be shaping up as a month of losses. Beware the Ides (or defeats) of March all ye Seadogs.
At least the reserves won today, 3-0 at home to Inter Charter (he typed desperately, clutching for something positive to post).
Still this season is not dead yet as Scarborough Athletic still retain an interest in two NCEL Cups (Presidents & League).
Tuesday night sees NCEL1 outfit Bottesford Town traversing the Humber Bridge when they come a-calling in the League Cup 3rd Round. They will be looking to cause an upset - is the current Seadog form up to preventing that? Beejabers but I hope so.

Bridlington Town 5-0 Scarborough Athletic: Boro Fall Flat On Pancake Night
It was appropriate that Scarborough Athletic FC fell to a record defeat on a pancake night because the second half defensive show put up by the Seadogs was as flat as you "flipping" well like.
At half-time we had just witnessed one of the most entertaining 0-0 first half's I can remember for a long while. Equal chances for both teams & played in a red-hot tempo that could have raised a Yorkshire Pud.
I don't know what homesters Bridlington put into the half-time brew for Seadogs to sup - batter mixture perchance?
Whatever it was, Seadogs conceded five goals (three handed on a silver platter with a nice after-eight mint thrown in). The 3rd of their goals was actually well taken, 1st, 2nd & 4th utter gifts and the 5th hardly seemed to matter - it went in on the 90th minute in inevitable cruise control.
It did matter though because it meant Scarborough Athletic's record ever defeat - previously a 2-6 reverse at home to Barton Town OB - the 5th Bridlington goal raised an unwanted bar.
But it wasn't all one way. The Seadog attack tried like Billy-ho to get one in the net but it was not meant to be. Just wide, great save, fluff the one on one, off the line.....Seadogs could easily have had four or five themselves.
Oh well, within a week the six match unbeaten run seems in the distant past and our message board is once again beginning to creak under the dismal weight of the doom & gloom brigade (quiet as mice when we win, in like flint when we lose).
Onwards & Upwards Seadogs! Those Nottinghamshire chaps from Long Eaton are our next visitors on Saturday.

End Of The Unbeaten Run For Scarborough Athletic FC
Boro could not quite make it a "magnificent seven" wins on the bounce as they went down 1-0 at Thackley in a narrow defeat.
Boro were unlucky insofar as hitting the crossbar twice & and seeing a Gary Hepples "goal" chalked off for a marginal offside decision. Thackley's winner came late on and left very little time for a response - conceding late is always a particularly bitter way to taste defeat
The consensus of those present was that the draw would have been the fairest result. Ah well, 6 out of 7 ain't bad.
The Seadogs do not have to wait long for a chance to shake off the disappointment as a massive "away" game with our landlords, Bridlington Town, awaits us all on Tuesday 8th.
These "landlord v tenants" games always attract a good crowd & atmosphere.

Home For Scarborough Athletic U19's Announced
Great news today as Scarborough Athletic FC announced that the U19's will have a ground to call home for next season.
Home Ground For U19's Announced
The new home will be at the academic surrounds of Bishop Burton College, some 35 miles south of Scarborough.
Furthermore, the club has applied to join the Northern U19's Alliance Football League East for next season along with an entry into the FA Youth Cup.
This league (currently) includes the following teams: Pickering Town, Harrogate Railway Athletic, Wakefield, Hemsworth MW, Pontefract Collieries, Garforth Town and Pocklington Town.
This does mean that the Seadogs are well spread around the eastern side of Yorkshire with the reserves playing at Filey, the first team at Bridlington and the U19's down at Bishop Burton.
The new U19's ground gets a christening tonight as Scarborough Athletic & Bridlington Town U19's lock horns in a friendly, kick-off 7.45

The Joy Of Six For Scarborough Athletic FC
Last night Scarborough Athletic FC went on to extend their unbeaten NCEL record to six games by seeing off Winterton Rangers 3-1.
Played on a Queensgate pitch that had recovered remarkably well from last weekends bog-bath, the Seadogs restricted Winterton to a meagre handful of chances whilst looking bright and full of ideas themselves.
Boro goals came from Gary Hepples, Ryan Blott & Billy Law. The visitors consolation came at the death when the points were in the bag (and yes, I do remember the Hallam game!).
The win consolidates Boro's new found "top-half-of-the-table" status and all of a sudden those teams at the very top don't seem to be so distant anymore.
The team head westwards on Saturday (5th) to try and crack another tough nut in the shape of Thackley FC. Boro can take some inspiration from the fact they have already won there (back in January in a NCEL Presidents Cup tie).
In the interim Scarborough Athletic U19's will make another little bit of Seadog history this Friday (4th March) when they play their first ever game, a friendly, against Bridlington Town U19's, at Bishop Burton College k/o 7.45pm.

Scarborough Athletic FC - 5 Wins On The Bounce (And Ton Up)
Scarborough Athletic FC beat Selby Town 2-1 this afternoon in a hard-fought encounter.
Played on an absolute bog of a surface, Selby had the upper hand initially (with the elements on their side somewhat) & they took the lead in the 22nd minute.
Boro battled back though through a stunning strike from Dunning and a second-half Medcalf winner.
It wasn't pretty but the win was Boro's 5th NCEL win on the trot & the 100th competitive victory since formation.
The Seadogs have a chance for 6 straight wins this Tuesday when Lincolnshire outfit Winterton Rangers come-a-calling.

First Ever Scarborough Athletic FC U19's Game Announced
Great news for football in Scarborough!
Details have emerged about the first game of football to be played by Scarborough Athletic FC's U19 team.
First Game For Boro U19's
The game (a friendly) will take place at Bishop Burton College on Friday 4th March and the opponents will be the U19 team of our landlords Bridlington Town FC.
As the article suggests, more friendly fixtures are planned later on in the season.
It is hoped the Seadogs U19's can be entered into a competitive league for the 2012/13 season. Which league & home venue is yet to be announced.
This is an important piece of the jigsaw for Scarborough Athletic FC and congratulations are due to all involved in its instigation. Good luck to the management and players, let us hope it proves to be a fertile source of future Seadog first-teamers.

Umpteenth Postponement For Scarborough Athletic FC
The weather-fragmented 2011/12 season continues to provide boggy frustration for Scarborough Athletic FC.
Tonight's NCEL Premier clash at Arnold Town has succumbed to the recent heavy rain & the pitch down there in Notts is waterlogged.
The Seadogs will now try for their 5th win on the trot (and 100th ever win) this Saturday when we entertain fellow North Yorkshiremen Selby Town at Queensgate.
Weather permitting!

Scarborough Athletic FC On Verge Of 100th Competitive Victory
Since formation in June 2007 (following the sad demise of former Football League club Scarborough FC) Scarborough Athletic FC have (to date) played a total of 169 competitive games in League & Cup.
The results of these are broken down as follows:
W 99
D 26
L 44
Therefore the next Seadog victory (in competitive action) will represent a milestone as it will be win number 100.
The first bite of the "100-up" apple comes this Tuesday (22 Feb) when the Seadogs head to Nottinghamshire to take on Arnold Town FC in a NCEL Premier fixture.

And Yet Another Postponement For Scarborough Athletic FC (Part 94)
Another Saturday, another postponement.
Yet again the Seadogs have fallen afoul of current nemesis - the waterlogged pitch.
A torrential downpour in East Yorkshire has rendered Hall Road Rangers FC's Dene Park unplayable & would-be visitors Boro must twiddle their thumbs for another weekend.
It looks like most of the other NCEL Premier fixtures have suffered the same fate although, ironically, our landlords Bridlington Town & near neighbours Pickering Town look ( at time of posting ) to have gotten away with it and will stage matches this afternoon.
With Scarborough Athletic Reserves also following the postponement suit, it is an afternoon with Geoff Stelling & Co for Seadog Blog :-(

Scarborough Athletic FC - Boing Boing Boing Boing - 4 On The Bouce
Last night, in the 95th minute, Scarborough Athletic won an absolute roller-coaster of a match to record four NCEL Premier wins on the bounce.
Lincoln Moorlands Railway 3-4 Scarborough Athletic was the result, but that cold scoreline alone fails to convey the drama of the last few minutes.
The ding-dong affair panned out thusly:
19 lincoln mr 0-1 SCARBOROUGH ATH
42 LINCOLN MR 1-1 scarborough ath
53 LINCOLN MR 2-1 scarborough ath
70 lincoln mr 2-2 SCARBOROUGH ATH
84 lincoln mr 2-3 SCARBOROUGH ATH
87 LINCOLN MR 3-3 scarborough ath
90 lincoln mr 3-4 SCARBOROUGH ATH
The winner was actually scored in the 5th minute of time added on and apart from the re-start was the last kick of the game.
Scenes of great jubilation at the ground and in cyberspace!
The Seadogs now sit on the cusp of 5 wins on the bounce, that opportunity arises this coming Saturday (19th Feb) when the relatively short journey to Dunswell will be made in order to take on Hall Road Rangers FC.
Can Boro make it a "fifer"

Scarborough Athletic FC Go For Four!
The Seadogs are south of the Humber Bridge tonight as they bid for 4 straight NCEL Premier wins on the bounce.
They face stiff opposition from hosts Lincoln Moorlands Railway FC who themselves are in the midst of a decent run.
You can keep in the picture by following the hashtag #safclive on twitter.

Forget Arsenal v Barcelona - this is where it is at.

And Yet Another Postponement For Scarborough Athletic FC
Another Saturday, another postponement for the Seadogs.
This afternoons NCEL game against high flyers Parkgate was called off this morning due to a waterlogged Queensgate pitch.
Boro v Parkgate OFF
It is a shame because the Seadogs have found good form recently and were striving for 4 wins on the bounce.
Another pain is that the rearranged game will be yet another midweek game and those invariably attract lower gates than would be the case on a Saturday.
Talking of midweek matches, Scarborough Athletic will be in action on Wednesday night (16th February) when they visit Lincoln Moorland Railway FC - Here's hoping the Seadogs keep the winning momentum going.

The Scarborough Athletic FC #SAFCLIVE Hashtag Comes Of Age On Twitter
Last nights 1-7 romp on the pitch at Dinnington was enjoyable enough for any Seadog, but off the pitch (on Twitter to be exact) something else remarkable was occurring.
For those who do not know Tweeting Seadogs use the hashtag #safclive whilst Boro games are in progress thus enabling all tweets relating to the match to be seen together as a collective.
A snapshot of how it looks is shown below, taken at a time when Boro went 4-0 up last night.
But the stand-out stat from last night is that were nearly 100 tweets over the course of the 90 minutes. No Seadog can count them self out of the picture if they follow the #safclive hashtag. The stats below show that there were approximately 40 #safclive tweets for last Saturdays home game with Liversedge and a whopping near 100 for last nights affair.
This information was taken from #safclive hashtag page on "WhatTheTrend"
The high amount of #safclive tweets did not go unnoticed by those who seek out the "Twitteratti" because only a few minutes after last nights game finished the following tweet appeared
Fame indeed!
I guess the main point of this posting is to encourage as many Seadogs as possible to sign up to Twitter and join in the #safclive conversation, the more tweets using the #safclive hashtag the higher the clubs online profile (which is already very good) will become. It costs nowt to join up & it can be done very easily on even the most basic of mobile phones.
There are several ways of viewing the collective tweets, just do a search for #safclive on whatever device you use to tweet or by viewing the #safclive twitterfall or the aforementioned http://wthashtag.com/Safclive
When games are not in progress all the latest Boro news is tweeted out on a regular basis by tweeters such as @safc and @seadogupdate

Dinnington Town 1 - 7 Scarborough Athletic - Unbeaten Run Continues....And How!
Scarborough Athletic FC's recent upsurge in fortune continued last night in no uncertain fashion.
They beat, nay, thrashed Dinnington Town by 7 goals to 1 and in so doing equalled their record away victory (set at Bottesford Town in October 2008).
It could be argued that last nights victory carried the greater weight as it was achieved at step 5 level whereas the Bottesford triumph was realised one rung lower down the football pyramid at step 6.
Those who were there tweeted out news of four Ryan Blott goals, one from Billy Law and no less than two own-goals courtesy of the beleaguered Dinno defence ( although one of o.g's has since been credited to Boro's Jenkinson)
So that is three NCEL Premier wins out of three for Boro. Good stuff and no mistake. A sterner test probably awaits on Saturday when second-placed Parkgate FC visit Queensgate, but when Boro play to their best then I reckon them a match for any in this Division.

Scarborough Athletic FC Back On The Back-To-Back Win Trail
For the 1st time since September, Scarborough Athletic FC have managed to record back-to-back wins in the NCEL Premier.
Last Tuesday's 1-0 win over Tadcaster Albion was followed up on Saturday with a fine 5-1 triumph over lowly Liversedge Town. Two home wins in succession.
Hopefully this heralds the start of a consistent phase of the season for Boro.
We will find out in quick order because the Seadogs travel to Dinnington tomorrow night (Tuesday 7th) in a bid to win three on the bounce.
