Last night Scarborough Athletic FC shrugged off recent indifferent results to record a battling 1-0 victory over in-form Tadcaster Albion.
That, in itself, is good news but the overriding memory will be that goalscorer Ryan Blott notched his 100th goal (in just three and a bit seasons) for the Seadogs. A magnificent achievement.
"Blotty" is one of a handful of players that have represented both the old Scarborough FC and the Phoenix club Scarborough Athletic FC.
He is a credit to the memory of the old & a source of inspiration to the new.
Long may he keep knocking 'em in.
