Goal-den Pledge Paying Off For Scarborough Athletic FC & St Catherine’s Hospice

The Goal-den Pledge is a scheme (which is part of a shirt sponsorship deal with Hansons Cooling Services) whereby supporters contribute 25p (or more) for each goal scored by Scarborough Athletic FC during the course of the 2010-11 season.

Once all the money is in, the amount raised is split 50-50 between Scarborough Athletic FC and St Catherine’s Hospice – thus benefitting the club & a local good cause.

The first instalment of pledges has been called in & those that pledged 25p will be making a payment of £15.50p at this point.

This is because Boro have scored 62 goals in all competitions up to Saturday January 15th.

At present the running total is £806 and the total accumulated donation equates to £13 for each Seadog goal scored.

Well done to all who partake in this doubly beneficial fundraiser. The Seadogs are a very generous bunch - that much is certain.

Let us hope the lads can net even more goals in the second part of the season and give a big boost the final tally.
