The referee called the game off at 1pm (which was the supposed kick-off time).
Whilst the ref most likely did the right thing for player safety, there really ought to have been a pitch inspection earlier in the day to prevent the best part of 300 travelling Seadogs (including your humble correspondent) wasting their bank holiday morning and afternoon.
Taddy officials were quick to refund punters their admission money but the expense of the journey was money needlessly sent down the Swanee River.
Oh well, worse things happen at sea - we try again next Saturday with a home fixture against Hallam FC.
