Seadog Blog has reluctantly come to the conclusion that promotion is a "non-runner" this season & now considers the two NCEL cup competitions the only realistic chance of honours for Scarborough Athletic FC.
The draw for the Presidents Cup Semi-Final has seen the Seadogs drawn away yet again. Boro travel to either Farsley AFC (our league conquerors today) or NCEL1 outfit AFC Emley. You probably have to think it will be Farsley so at least we may have a chance of avenging their "double" over us this season - but you never know for sure in football & Emley may spring a surprise
This tie will be played on the 22nd March (if Farsley) or the 23rd March (if Emley)
The draw for the third round of the NCEL League Cup has been slightly kinder insofar as Boro have received a home draw. Again it is an "either/or" situation with the opponents - Selby Town (who we play on Tuesday in a league game BTW) or NCEL1 Bottesford Town. Once more you would assume the NCEL Premier team are favourites to progress to the Boro tie.
This game will be played on the 15th March.
COME ON BORO - Let's get some silverwear in the cabinet!
